Mom Advice On Siblings
March 21, 2010
Mommy Goes Green is primarily a community of moms interested in a healthy and eco-friendly lifestyle but first and foremost – we’re moms! Moms whom have already raised their children or moms that are currently in the trenches raising babies and teenagers.
I enjoy getting advice from moms that have already been through what I might currently be experiencing. It’s helpful to share ideas of what worked – and what didn’t – and laugh (or cry) about the crazy things our kids have done to torture us. For example, my friend, Kristin, and I were just talking about how both of our 3 year olds had a delayed reaction to the recent addition of a newborn to the family. They both started acting up several months after the baby came – which we didn’t expect. Now I’m wondering if that is the norm, instead of the exception.
Because moms love to give advice and we love to get advice, we’re adding a monthly column called Mom Advice where we ask you, the readers, to share some of your best mom advice on a certain topic. To kick off our monthly Mom Advice, our first topic is siblings. What advice would you share with other moms about raising siblings? Even if you only have one child, if you have siblings of your own – you must have some thoughts on being raised with a sister or brother. What are your thoughts on competitiveness? Disciplining each child differently? Was your first child easy and then your second hard – or the other way around? What worked and what didn’t?
Please share some of your best advice on raising sibilings and make sure to come back over the next week to see what other moms have to say!

What a great topic. I don’t have the time to write something right now but I’m looking forward to reading what other mom’s have to say.
